BRAVE Women Nigeria Launches Fresh Call for Applications

Eight months after its second call for applications, BRAVE Women Nigeria has opened its application portals on Friday, December 23, 2022, for the third round of applications. Unlike the first and second waves, this call of applications calls targets Women-owned/led small and medium enterprises (WSMEs), lead firms and business associations operating within the sectors of agriculture, education, energy, fashion and textile and health in Lagos and Abuja only*.

The Project, which seeks to improve the entrepreneurial ecosystem for women-owned/led SMEs in Nigeria, will be providing successful applicants with business advisory support, training, and networking opportunities to help them improve their resilience. In addition, beneficiaries would have the chance to apply for matching grant support ranging from 5,000 USD to 50,000 USD.

Intending beneficiaries looking to apply for the opportunity to become project beneficiaries are advised to submit their applications as soon as possible as applications will close once the required quota is filled or at 11:59 pm, February 14, 2023, whichever comes first.

About BRAVE Women Nigeria

Business Resilience Assistance for Value-adding Enterprises for Women in Nigeria (BRAVE Women Nigeria) is part of the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (We-Fi) funded through the Islamic Development Bank-funded. Nigeria’s Bank of Industry is executing it. It combines training elements for 600 firms and grant-matching for 500 women-led SMEs, 20-30 lead firms, and ten business associations to support growth and resilience. The Project seeks to enable an empowering business environment for women entrepreneurs in Nigeria and strengthen their resilience. This phase of the Project is being implemented in Lagos and Abuja.
